Information about Cookies

1.What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that are stored in your browser when you visit a website and sent back to the website on your next visit. They make it possible, for example, to remember your settings or to measure how the website is used. In addition to cookies, similar technologies that store data on your device may also be used (local storage, session storage, pixels).

This information applies to the website digestore.cz, including its English language version.

If you switch to the Slovak version (digestory.sk), we will ask for your consent again. Consent given on one domain cannot technically be transferred to another. This is neither an error nor an attempt to bother you repeatedly — it is a consequence of cookies being tied to a domain. The rules and categories are the same on both sites and are described in the Cookie Policy.

Most of the cookies referred to here, together with other data – such as your IP address – constitute personal data. How we handle it is described in our Privacy Policy.

2.When we need your consent

Storing information on your device and accessing it is governed by Section 89(3) of Act No. 127/2005 Coll., on Electronic Communications, as amended with effect from 1 January 2022, and by the GDPR. Consent must be given actively; staying on the page or a pre-ticked box does not constitute consent.

Strictly necessary cookies are stored without your consent – the website would not work without them.

All other cookies are stored only after you have given us your consent in the cookie banner. Until consent is given, they are not stored and no measurement tools are activated. Consent is voluntary; you can refuse it or give it only for some categories, and the website will remain functional.

We remember your consent for 6 months, after which we will ask you again.

6.Browser settings

In addition to the above, you can restrict the use of cookies directly in your browser settings and delete cookies already stored. You will find instructions in your browser's help section. Please note that blocking all cookies may limit the functionality of the website.
